WELLNESS EXAMS
Regular checkups are the foundation to a lifelong health. The information we gather at each exam becomes part of your pet's medical history and can be critical when an emergency or sudden illness arises.
MICROCHIPPING
A unique ID number, acting as permanent identification to help reunite lost pets with their owners by scanning the chip the numbers will link to your contact information in the database..
VACCINATIONS
Protect your pet from preventable diseases with a vaccination plan customized just for them. We consider lifestyle and exposure risk to ensure the right protection without unnecessary vaccines.
SURGERY
Routine spays and neuters to more complex soft tissue procedures, your pet’s safety and comfort come first. We use modern anesthesia and monitoring protocols for the best possible care and recovery.
DENTAL CARE
It's recommended that your pet receives a professional teeth cleaning to help prevent pain, infections and other issues over time. We remove the tartar that builds up on teeth over time.

DVM/ Owner
Dr. Amy Spaeth
In 2000, Dr. Amy Spaeth completed her veterinary degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. In summer of 2002, she purchased Jackson Pet Hospital with her husband, Sam Bauman. Dr. Spaeth grew up on a small farm just outside of West Bend. She also grew up breeding, training and showing the family Old English Sheepdogs. Dr. Spaeth is still actively showing her dogs in AKC conformation shows, agility, rally and obedience. Her professional interests include veterinary reproduction medicine, surgery, and pediatrics. Dr. Spaeth has been specializing in canine reproduction for over 25 years.
Receptionist
Kayley Helman
Kayley has been working for JPH since 2023 as the front of the office will be first face you see. She's always happy to answer any questions and can talk about anything while you wait for your appointment. Some specific topics she loves is reading, her 3 cats, and travel plans. If you don't see Kayley it's probably because she's off galavanting again with her husband, Josh.
Veterinary Nurse
Nadine Witte
Nadine has been working at JPH since 2024. She works behind the scene so you might not see her as much.
She enjoys working hands on with patients and has a special interest in helping with surgical procedures. From helping Dr. Spaeth prepare patients for surgery, performing dental cleanings, and monitoring recovery, she focuses on keeping pets feel safe and comfortable.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband Kyle and their 3 dogs, going out with friends, and riding horses.
Practice Manager/ Owner
Sam Bauman
Sam is the second half of the dynamic duo that brings you JPH. As Dr. Spaeth's husband he wears many hats here, including practice manager, inventory specialist, and expert old english sheepdog taxi driver.
You might not always see Sam as many of his roles include behind the scenes work. When he's not needed here you might catch him at one of his other businesses Deal Zone and The Collector's Hub.

As a one doctor family-owned practice, we offer routine medical care, dental and surgical procedures, canine reproductive services, and non-emergent medical procedures, our services are tailored to the unique needs of pets in all stages of their life.
